I remember Polly Brown, and yes, I knew she was lead singer of Picketty witch--I know I have a cd of hers somewhere--maybe 2.

Polly Brown -- Up in a Puff of Smoke

5000 Volts -- I'm on Fire

Anyone remember these? I'm sure Eman does!

(I didn't realise that Polly was lead singer in Pickettywitch. That Same Old Feeling is in my top 200 of all time.)
Paul - I sure do! I still have my Sugar Bears album. Did you know the lead vocalist was Mike Settle (Sugar Bear) from Kenny Rogers and The First Edition and Kim Carnes (Honey Bear). Not a little bad song for a group based on cereal box charachters. Don't know if you remember the cardboard records you'd cut out from the back of the cereal box!

Polly Brown and 5000 Volts yep I had these records also!!

There's a whole lot of stuff in my I-Pod..loaded courtesy of my daughter..but the only artist I actually LISTEN to, is Matt.
I was listening to Matt Sings- Nelson Swings the other day and got a hankering to look into Nelson Riddle's music a little deeper.
I down loaded Sinatra singing "I've got you under my skin"...mainly to listen to the orchestral arrangement, which was brilliant.
You can't hate the guy [Sinatra]..but I reckon Matt's version ,had there been one, would have been smoother. What a shame he couldn't have done more with Riddle.
Would have made an awesome combo'..

Regarding Greg's statement, I always feel rather sorry for people who's musical taste seems rather limited to one artist, many of us here have large collections and enjoy many different artists.

Friends of mine used to run the Johnny Mathis fan club and when fans used to tell them Johnny was the best singer in the world they would say "Who Else Do You Listen To" when they said they did not listen to anyone else the reply was "Well How Do You Know Johnny Is The Best"?
