Apparently it's a film from 1962 directed by Bryan Forbes and starring Lesley Caron.
Produced by Richard Attenborough and an interesting point, music by John Barry.
I believe Lesley Caron is going to be on Paul O'Grady's show sometime this week.

"The L-Shaped Room is a 1962 British drama film, directed by Bryan Forbes, which tells the story of a young French woman, unmarried and pregnant, who moves into a London boarding house, befriending a young man in the building. It stars Leslie Caron and Tom Bell.

The movie was adapted by Bryan Forbes from the novel by Lynne Reid Banks.

Leslie Caron's performance was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress."

Thanks for this Marian(s), I seemed to recall it is a British kitchen-sink drama, so that all ties up! :)

I had no idea Leslie Caron was on Paul O'Grady!
I must try to catch that!

Thanks for replying, both of you!

It looks like Leslie Caron might be on tonight Gray. I've been missing his programme this week as I've been watching Are you an Egghead on BBC 2.
I should think she will be on other programmes too.

I've not seen you on the forum for a day or two Gray, so I hope you caught Leslie Caron on the Paul O'Grady Show last night?

It's been pretty awful here all day today. It poured down all morning and brightened up a bit this afternoon but it has been very windy as well.

Hi Marian

Sorry I've been away - half term plus we're having a new bathroom installed here so it's been a treck most evenings to drive to family in order to use their shower.

Anyway, after all that, I missed the Leslie Caron interview. :(
I would of loved to of seen it.

Thanks for thinking of me! :)

Hi Gray, I'd been wondering what had happened to you. You'll enjoy your lovely new bathroom when it's done :D :D
Anyway, the interview with Leslie Caron is still avaiable on Channel 4 on Demand for the next 25 days, so hopefully you will get time to see it.

Hi Marian

Thank you!
I shall watch it this evening!

Hi Robert
Some trivia...
You probably know this already, but just in case, the man who directed Broadway Melody of 1940 ended up directing a whole batch of Elvis musicals in the 60's.
