Some lovely countryside up there-especially this time of year--but a bit difficult in winter I imagine. I went up there one Christmas-but there was no snow-Tarbert is very sheltered.

I always have a shovel in the vehicle because, I was once caught in deep snow on "The Rest and be Thankful" (A82).....never again!!

Also architecture by Rennie Macintosh (1868-1928), my local hall is designed by him. Home of John Logie Baird (1888-1946), Author; A.J Cronin (1896-1981) Wrote Dr Finlay's Casebook. My village is where Mr Cunard signed and started his Cruiseship company, and more up to Hazel Irvine (BBC Sports presenter) went to the local primary school....her parents still live here.

My word--that is interesting--some well known Scottish names there---I have read a lot of AJ Cronin--but strangely enough, not Dr Finlays casebook--but he wrote some very good novels,

I am sorry Karl---yes I did go completely off-topic---that does happen sometimes!!

Back to Melissa--I got to hear her sing on the new Barry Manilow cd--and she sounded great. But apart from that, I have not heard much of her !!

Marian everything about me is real! :)

I love this song it's just so catchy, I sent it to Jackie years ago pleading with her to record it, I would love to hear her sing it.

It's a good dance tune, and still gets played a lot in the clubs. I hate the techno remixes though!!

I never understood the appeal of Melissa Manchester. I liked Midnight Blue at first, but got tired of it because of too much radio airplay. I never liked You Should Hear How She Talks About You; it was also played too much on the radio and used too often in commercials and variety shows.
