Melissa Manchester
Re: Melissa Manchester
Paul I sometimes wonder about your musical tastes, Melissa has a wonderful strong voice and she gives it her all. I have many of her records and enjoy them all especially as she progressed. I also saw a concert on tv in America years ago and she was absoutely brilliant.
Apart from Matt just who do you like?

Re: Melissa Manchester
Paul is a very knowledgeable musician Karl, and a talented pianist.
Re: Melissa Manchester
So was my late cousin Marian, it means nothing when it comes to musical taste though , I loved her dearly but we had some arguments over music,
and Melissa Manchester is still a very talented singer!
And Marian, don't ever watch a concert with a professional musician, they pick holes in the performance that you thought was brilliant,. I once showed my cousin a concert with Michael Ball and Alfie Boe and I ended up putting my hand over her mouth and telling her to shut up!!!!!

Re: Melissa Manchester
Though I have to agree Midnight Blue and Looking Through The Eyes Of Love (Theme from Ice Castles) was over played but not to the point of You Light Up My Life by Debby Boone status... I still love Melissa Manchester. She's an awesome singer, keyboardist and songwriter!
Re: Melissa Manchester

Re: Melissa Manchester
Cool list Paul! I like how you mixed the old and the new.
Re: Melissa Manchester
I like most of the people on your list Paul, I'm a big Waylon Jennings fan and have a lot of his material, did you ever read his book? I really enjoyed it, parts of it were really funny. Nobody sings Never Been To Spain like Waylon !
Re: Melissa Manchester
I don't have much by Waylon Jennings. I just always liked his voice: so pure. I haven't read his book. I'll have to search for that and read it in retirement.
I just realised that I forgot my favourite singer of 2011 from my list: young British soul singer Michael Kiwanuka. So I will edit my post and add him.

Re: Melissa Manchester
I will list my favourite singers for you Paul over the next few days, we can compare!
Re: Melissa Manchester
How come I am not on your list, Jeff?
Re: Melissa Manchester
Probably because your last album never got released Gray !!!!!
Re: Melissa Manchester
Hey Karl, what was the hit single on Gray's album! Hmm I bet he would be "rockin'".
Re: Melissa Manchester
I think it was Nobody Wants You When You're Old And Grey!!!!!
It was possibly his Greatest HIT or some would say his ONLY hit!
(Just kidding Gray)

Re: Melissa Manchester
He's Young and Gray Karl, nowhere near being old and grey!
Re: Melissa Manchester
I know Marian, it was a joke!
