Happy Valley.

Post by Lena & Harry Smith » Thu Jun 05, 2014 11:07 pm

Did anyone else watch the series.. Happy Valley on tele. ??
I don't normally go for this violent stuff, but watched it because Sarah Lancashire played the main role, and I enjoyed the role she played in " Last Tango In Halifax "
Happy Valley certainly had some violent scenes, but a great story line and brilliant acting from all the cast, but outstanding acting from Sarah Lancashire.

I watched the first episode for about ten minutes but didn't care for it, however a Police officer wrote in to Radio Times praising it.

I know what you mean Sandra. I'm not sure why it was titled " Happy Valley" , and as I've said, I rarely watch anything that's likely to contain violent scenes, but the story and the acting was so convincing and realistic, at the end I was more or less goading her to kick the .... out of the villain.
I think there is going to be another series.
