DID ANYONE SEE?

Post by karl » Sat Apr 20, 2019 1:43 pm

Did anyone see the Breakfast show on BBC1 on Saturday April 20th? I heard there was something about Dusty but as they only saw the end of it they had no idea what it was about, perhaps it's about the radio show tomorrow!

did anyone watch BBC4 ,s BBC Proms 2019 last night? A wonderful programme from The John Wilson Orchestra paying tribute to the movies of film studio Warner Brothers. Superb choice from start to finish and the orchestra and singers were excellent including one of our favourite singers Matthew Ford.

Has anyone seen the new series on BBC4 showing old BBC TV music shows. Last week Nat King Cole. Next week Cilla and this week Sammy Davis Jnr .We forgot what a great singer he is especially on his last song where he included 'Matt Monro' among the lyrics.

Cilla at the BBC was a good watch and a nice fun duo with Dusty. This week Harry Belafonte and next week DUSTY but the class act so far has to have been the wonderful Nat King Cole.

Never cared much for Nat apart from a few songs but will checkout Harry Belafonte. Also there are two back to back shows on Dusty
March 18th BBC4 followed by Sounds Of The 60's on the same channel featuring various artists including The Springfields so maybe it
will also include Matt?

Did anyone catch the Bafta Awards last night and see Shirley Bassey's incredible performance? I thought she looked and sounded terrific and got a well deserved standing ovation. :D
