E-Mail from John Hannan

The interview with dad will be played on Sunday at 1pm on Isle of Wight Radio. From Bournemouth to Chichester and beyond it can be picked up on 107FM. The title of the show is John Hannam Meets - now into its seventeenth year.
The interview was purely recorded as notes for a piece I wrote on him. We have managed to adjust the levels and insert some music at strategic points. Its never been herard in public before.
It can be heard all over Britain via our website - www.iwradio.co.uk <http>

We certainly did hear the interview, absolutely fantastic plus his greatest songs. It would be wonderful to feel that dear Matt is looking down, and hope we are answering one or two questions or thoughts that Matt mentioned in the interview particularly the changes and trends in music that he himself had seen.  Wonderful!!

I cannot see a "Play again" feature on this station--but if you click on to Michele's link--go to "John Hannam on Demand"--at the side of the page---there is a place where you can email in, if you would like a programme repeated. It could be worth a go!

Hi Everyone,

Have any of you listened to the wonderful Roger Day?
Roger presents a weekly evening show on BBC Radio.
The show goes out between 7-10pm Monday through to Friday.

If you can't receive the show via your radio then why not listen in on line.
www.bbc.co.uk/radiooxford - or Radio Berkshire, Kent or Radio Solent.

Roger has been in the music business for years.
He started his career by broadcasting on the pirate radio station, Radio Caroline. He tells great stories of what he and the boys, [the late Kenny Everett too] got up to during their time on board the boat/ship/dingy or whatever you called the vessel!

Anyway, Roger plays GREAT music each and every night.
He plays songs from the 60's and 70's as well as good music from the top performers of today. He is probably one of the only radio presenters that can choose his own music. He says that he has always done his own thing and is not interested in manufactured music! :D

Roger also has guests on the show as well.
On Tuesday we heard the lovely Elkie Brooks tell everyone that she is touring again and that there will be a new CD out soon.

So, if you want to hear good music and listen to a presenter that knows his stuff and doesn't talk at us but to us, then why not give this show a go.

On Friday's between 7-8pm, we have the juke box. We get to choose the music that WE want to hear!
One thing I forgot to say is that Radio Oxford have a sports round up until 7.30pm, so we miss the first half an hour. Do re-tune to the other stations so that you don't miss the first bit!

From what I have heard on Roger's show, Radio 2 have now changed their evening schedule and the listeners are sending in messages saying that they have found the show and they are VERY happy to be listening to good quality music once again! :D
