MATT'S ALBUM: A XMAS COLLECTION

Post by agro » Tue Oct 11, 2005 10:21 pm

Searched everywhere trying to find a copy of Matt's Christmas album:
"A Xmas Collection" (1998, EMI, 497 5322). Is it out of print? Any idea of where I may be able to obtain a copy in the US or UK? Thank you!!

Matt only recorded Mary's Boy Child & When A Child Is Born.....not a complete Christmas album. I hope I am mistaken.

'A CHRISTMAS COLLECTION'

Hi Agro

The CD you are looking for is available (in the UK at least) from Tesco's Web site. Just click on the following link to go to the relevant page and select it from the list:

http://www.tesco.com/entertainment/sear ... tk=primary

Please note that this CD is a collection of various artists, not a complete Matt Monro album, although it does feature both of the tracks that Terence mentions, When a Child is Born and Mary's Boy Child. Hope this helps.

Matt's Xmas Collection

Thank you for the information. Although hearing his Christmas music infrequently, I had hoped that there was a full album when I read
the discography in "The Singer's Singer" booklet which listed the CD
"A Xmas Collection" on EMI.

just taking a total stab in the dark here

that the single "Christmas Magic" advertised on the main MattMonro.com page probably also constitutes a Christmas recording.
