Sorry Karl, the point of this pressing is that it is very rare. If I flood the market with it, it takes away just how rare it is. Because there are only a few it also ensures that it can't be copied and suddenly appear on Ebay. The buyer would then make 50 copies and sell them. It then usually ends up as a pirate in the Philippines and would be worthless. have tried to be fair over the years in giving several opportunities of obtaining it. It was first given away free as part of the Fans Reunited goodie bag. The money for the raffle is going to macmillan as did the auction monies so I am not actually making a penny on it, it isn't about money, it's about preserving the music.

Wow--thanks Michele for that--I would love to see one of our regulars winning it, but I know whoever wins it will really deserve it.

I just wanted to let everyone who cannot come to the meeting , to be able to share it a little.

Oh I understand Michele but I thought at first you were making a small amount available through here, as I read your post I was expecting to see that. :(

They will up their target in the next day or two. Their teachers told them to start modestly otherwise it might put people off but to keep uping it when it is near the traget otherwise people might not bother donating.

My two nephews did a night walk/cycle run last year for a charity and eventually went way over the target, let's hope history repeats.

Max and Justine should be feeling very proud of themselves. Like Michele, we have had experience of the wonderful work the Macmillan nurses do, not just for the personal care of the patient but in so many ways to assist and support the families, an inevitable situation that will face most families at some time or the other.
With so many needy charities, including the one that's personally dear to our hearts we have to make a choice and this one will be a top priority for us to support.

It's great to see Max & Justine have almost reached their target.

The raffle for the CD Music About Town was a great idea from Marian and hope it raises a lot of money for the Macmillan Cancer Society in support of the fantastic job they do.

We were very fortunate our bid was accepted for this CD when Michele did her auction and we can honestly say this is a fabulous CD and well worth trying to win it.

Good luck everyone :D :D
