Bay FM programme for Sunday 21st July

Post by nickthebottlewasher » Sat Jul 20, 2013 8:19 pm

Join me on Sunday afternoon at 4pm UK time on Bay FM www.bayfm.co.uk for our regular 3-hour stroll down 'Memory Lane.' Just go to the page and click ‘Listen Now’ BUT don’t forget that if you’re within reach of the transmitter here in East Devon, you can now tune into 106.4 FM to hear the programme. If the page is down, go to http://www.shoutcast.com/Internet-Radio/bayfm%20exmouth

This week it will be a ‘Pot Pourri’ of music from a spread of over 50 years, with birthday tributes to Dorothy Fields, Mindy Carson, Jimmy Cagney, Vikky Carr and Kay Starr, amongst several others, plus requests and dedications from you, the listeners, including a little “modern nostalgia,” whilst the last part of the programme will be music from film, stage, radio and TV (including Matt!) :D
Hopefully I'll be able to bring back some memories for you and I'll be giving out gold stars if you remember some of these singers before I tell you who they are. In addition I'll also introduce you to some singers whom you've either forgotten or maybe missed altogether first time around.
Three hours of our sort of music, around 50 songs, without too much chat.

P.S. The 'Listen Again' facility is now fully functional (and louder) and is updated to last week
P.P.S. Please, if you have any requests that you would like to hear, or any special occasions coming up, do let me know so that I can include them in the relevant week.

Once again, have to say a big thank you to Nick Muir for a fantastic Three hour programme of wonderful music.
This programme is full of surprises and we never know what songs or pieces of music Nick will come up with next, but we know that a song from Matt is regularly on the agenda and he has just played Matt's... "On Days Like These"
He played Johnnie Mathis ..Gina. Haven't heard that for quite some time.
