What a great story, and to have met Morecambe and Wise too, Eric Morecambe was a genius and Matt was too. They were the finest at their craft. So cool that matt wrote to you by hand, just another side of the man who made so much effort for his fans. What touching memorabillia to keep. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Thanks for that Neil.
I have also remembered that as we had a very delayed honeymoon,when Morecambe and Wise came into the dressing room on 17th August 1963 Matt introduced us to them and said that we were on our honeymoon.
Eric Morecambe asked when we had got married.Of course when we said it been the previous December he quipped'and they said it wouldn't last'!!

Oh Sandra,
that is so Eric Morecambe isn`t it? I envy you (in the nicest way) he was one of my heroes. A great talent. Did you get any pictures taken? I guess in those days cameras with flashes in built weren`t around like they were from the 1970`s onwards.
