Matt song in Travolta action film

Post by johnfoyle » Sat Mar 06, 2010 12:00 am

The latest John Travolta film ' From Paris With Love' is a hugely enjoyable romp, full of cartoon violence and some witty dialogue. A unexpected addition is the use of a song by Matt. In a sequence where Hardman Travolta is speeding through the streets on the way to save the World (or something) he fiddles with the radio dial and happens on Matt's "(They Long to Be) Close to You". He insists on listening to it , saying what a fave. of his it is. As the other thugs look on he warns them not to let on to anyone else about this etc. It's one of a few similar jokes in the film, the joke being that though he's a hardened killer he still has his soft side etc.

Just to prove I wasn't hallucinating , here's the soundtrack list -

Thank you for this info John. I'm sure those of us who see the film will be looking out for it.
