Thanks for your kind words too.
Where is everyone?!
I'm not suffering from SAD, I'm suffering from BSOT (Bluebirds still on Top) and a BIG hangover!Marian wrote:Everybody's got SAD - Seasonal Affective Disorder...

Hi everyone,
Being from Reading I can understand Edgar's earlier post, which at first looks rather complicated...
The Bluebirds are Cardiff City FC who are top of the Championship, with more points than Reading had at this stage last year. Reading went on to be promoted to the Premiership. Good luck Edgar!
I'm now going to look for Hiary's trifle joke which I missed too.

Marian.
Loved your tale of the mystery coach trip Lena and Harry. At least they could have taken you to Pontypridd Park, which used to have a lovely sunken garden which my granny used to like very much.
Or even Ponty market, where Tom Jones (Tommy Woodward) in those days used to sell china I believe.
He asked my friend out once, and she told him to get lost!!
Barry Island holds super childhood memories for me, as does Porthcawl, another lovely seaside place in South Wales.
I'll never eat trifle again Hilary!

Hi Marian [1]I have already mentioned my mum came from Cardiff--and as well as Barry, we holidayed in Porthcawl--had relatives there---also relatives in Portishead -[nr Bristol] where we often used to holiday---and go blackberrying, and learn how to milk a cow---I don't care what anyone says, I'm sure we had more fun then, than the kids do now--all glued to their Playstations or whatever !!
