Hello Paul. I don't think the CD is going to be released in the shops. The only was to obtain it (definitely a the moment) is by ordering from the Nelson Riddle Appreciation Society, as shown on the News page.
I know the Matt DVDs will not play on American DVD players, but in the past your fellow countrymen have written in saying that the DVDs will play on computers, hope that helps.

My tears will fall now that your gone :(

Thanks for the information. I think I'll be patient and eventually my tied-for-favourite store in the universe, HMV at 150 Oxford Street, will have it in stock. They sell just about everything. And the searching and waiting is half the fun! (My other favourite store in the universe is Chappell Music on New Bond Street.)

I had heard that about the DVD working in computers. Thanks for the tip!

Hi Paul---yes I also love the HMV store in Oxford St--when I worked in London, I was always in there--I am not able to manage it so much now. My other favourite shop is "Dress Circle" in London-I forget the address now, but they sell loads of soundtracks, including foreign versions--Amongst others I got "Carousel" in Japanese---"Evita" from Tokyo,"Les Miserables" in German. Just brilliant. !

Thanks Marian for the recommendation on the Dress Circle shop. I'll have to visit it the next time I'm in London. I don't buy many soundtracks, but it will be interesting to see all the foreign language versions.

Fan Club Meet

Post by Michele Monro » Fri May 12, 2006 10:51 pm

I will look into trying to tie this up with one or two of the concert dates. Give me a week to talk with Matt Jnr and see what we can come up with.
Thanks for your patience

Fan Club Meet

Post by Michele Monro » Sun May 14, 2006 7:14 pm

Here we go - just because it has not been mentioned in the last few months I have ben trying to plan a meet for anyone interested.

I have a tentative plan and that is to have a lunchoen on Monday 20th November followed by a question and answer session with Matt Jnr and myself. Then for those wanting we would go onto the Beck Theatre, Hayes, Middlesex, where Matt Jnr is performing that night.
Apart from being local to me it is my dad's home theatre which I thought would be nice.
Although I have to look into hotels and costs for everyone, I would need to know who might be interested as space will be tight. The Beck Theatre was a sell out for Matt Jnr last year and in order to grab some seats I would have to organise this in the next few weeks.
Please let me know if you would like to join us and any suggestions you might have.
See you there

Count me and Mrs Edgar in please. With regard to accommodation, we have relatives in Wimbledon where we could stay, but can you give us prices for accommodation as well please. We will also want concert tickets ( at wrinkly's rates) lol if they have them :D

Sounds a super idea Michele. Please count my husband Peter, who is a
great Matt fan too, and myself in, for both luncheon and concert. We live near enough to get home afterwards. Many thanks.

Marian & Peter.

This is also perfect for me! I have already made a reservation at the Hayes Premier Travel Inn, half a mile from the Beck Theatre. I can walk to the concert or take a taxi. The rates are around 60 GBP, breakfast not included. I stayed at a Premier Travel Inn near Gatwick last year and it was fine. And since this fan club event is close to Heathrow I can fly back to Washington on Tuesday, November 21.

I would like to attend the luncheon and concert. Please reserve a ticket for me or provide information about booking. I looked on the internet, but I don't think tickets are available yet.

My only suggestion is that the luncheon location be somewhere near the theatre or in the vicinity of Hayes. I don't know the area and am unable to drive an automobile in the U.K. So I would have to rely on taxis or buses.

Hi Michele---yes I would definately like to attend--I will need a hotel nearby, single room. Plus as I do not drive, easy access to hotel, theatre etc---I do not know this area, so will have to rely on your help--thanks Marian

Fan Club Meet Confirmed

Post by Michele Monro » Wed May 17, 2006 7:21 pm

Well here it is, all the gory details for the club meet.

It is scheduled for Monday 20th November at the Beck Theatre in Hayes
It will start at 4.00 and go through to 6.00pm officially, although we will then stay within the theatre until the concert starts. Matt Jnr is appearing that night and it has been decided to have the first meet here as it is dad's home theatre.
There will be a fork buffet, which will also cater to vegetarians, there will be a question and answer session, autographs and photographs if you wish so don't forget your cameras. If there is anything you would like to see included in the event please let me know. Both Matt Jnr and myself will attend and although not promising I am hoping to rope my mum in on the festivities.

The cost of this private limited event will be £25.00 per person or £40.00 per couple. It will include food, soft drinks and a goodie bag. Wine can be ordered at an extra cost.
Concert tickets would have to be booked seperately although tickets are not officially on sale as yet. The direct booking line is 020 8561 8371
and one can get updates of ticket release on www.getlive.co.uk/hayes
At this time the theatre cannot confirm what dates the tickets will be released or indeed what price they will be but I would estimate approx. £15.00 +

One of our members has recommended a hotel if anyone needs accommodation and apparently it is fairly close to the venue.
Hayes Premier Travel Inn - 0870 197 7132 or 020 8561 1158
They have quoted me £65.00 per room

Because of the intimacy of the evening tickets will be limited. You can either write a cheque to: M. MONRO and I will give you the address once you have e-mailed me.

or by PAYPAL at www.paypal.co.uk
My e-mail address attached to the account is michele@mattmonro.com

Please supply full names of all people in your party, your postal address and e-mail if possible.

We are looking forward to meeting you all and I do hope you will be able to attend, it should be a great evening.
