It is with much regret that we have decided this website will close. It might be possible to maintain it in archived form at some stage in the future, but no further updates will be added.

We are proud that it was the first website dedicated to the late, great singer, but since this magnificent official website was launched a few years ago, it has gradually included all the information we had gathered, plus a great deal more besides! Increasingly we are pointing visitors with enquiries to the official site and in the circumstances there seems little point in continuing.

We shall direct any future visitors to this website, with its wealth of information. In the meantime Ruud and I would like to thank all the contributors for their help, and a very big personal thanks to Ruud from me for all his help with the design and maintenance.

It is always sad to read that something is closing, and I'm sure your website will be missed by many. I often visited to read the comments about Matt as many seemed to find your guestbook, and always made favourable comments about your site.
It is good of you to guide any queries about Matt in the direction of Michele's website and they can be assured of a warm welcome by all of us here.
It would be nice if you would stay with us too Geoff, as you obviously have great interest in and knowledge about the music and career of Matt Monro and you could be an asset to us here.

I am sorry the site is closing as we both seem to get a fair amount of visitors and as you say, you were the first website to feature Matt Monro. Since I became ill and had to leave work some 12 years ago I decided to dedicate all my time to promoting the music of my father and ensure the legacy he left behind burned brightly. It has become a labour of love and I adore talking to different fans from across the pond,

I didn't feel we were in competition as we both seemed to offer different people different things and your Guest Book always seems to be busy. I wish you well with whatever you are going to be doing and hope to see you on the website from time to time.

I visited the website nearly every day ...........before this great website came to fruition.
