WELCOME HOME MICHELE!

Post by Marian » Tue Jun 19, 2012 8:15 am

Only a few days until Michele reaches home, so thought it would be nice to have a few messages for her when she does....

Welcome home Michele! You must be buzzing with all the news and experiences from the last few months, but I bet you you want more than anything is a long sleep in your own bed! :D ...and catching up with Max!

I was just thinking Michele must be due home soon.

Wonder how long it will take for you to get back into your routine after such a lengthy trip, your dog will go nuts when he/she sees you!!! :)

I think Michele will need a good long holiday to recover from her holiday !

I am really looking forward to hearing about her experiences in US--but you will be glad to know that nothing has changed since you went away last winter--cold, rain and gales--a brief respite for a couple of days, then back to "winter in summertime" !!

Hard to believe Michele will be home in just a few days, to think it is five and a half months since she set off is unbelievable. Thanks for sharing your experiences Michele.

How quickly that time has flown since you set off on this marathon trip, but what experiences and memories you will have to keep and to treasure.
Welcome home Michele, we have all missed you. :) !!!

This is quite a surprise as Michele has stated that she doesn't like Cunard Line at all. Maybe she is giving her presentations on QM2; the passengers would enjoy them.

I would go on Cunard Line anytime but would never step foot on Carnival, Princess, or Royal Caribbean, and likely never P & O. I just took a short Saga Cruise and enjoyed it very much; actually I loved it.

Hi Paul jh

Just curisosity ??

The differences between the other Cruises and Saga ?

This will be my fourth trip on the Royal Caribeann in September, and I can quite honestly say that I have been really pleased with all the activities, supervision etc., on board, met some lovely tourists. Crew members even welcome my return !

Saga seem so expensive ???

Michele, I hope you had a tremendous cruising and land vacation as I read your entries on your trip.
I was disappointed that we could not get together in San Francisco on May 16th, but I was offered
this Russian Riverboat Cruise from Grand Circle at a 80% Discount that I could not refuse. It was
unforgettable for me to view the country on the Volga River plus the weather was sunny for that
time of year. I hope you used the certificates for the Scenic Bus Tour in San Francisco, and the
weather cooperated with your 3 days there, as we have had less fog and rain than normal this season.
I am glad you are back and cannot wait to read your latest news when you return on Sunday.

Saga is expensive, but I liked that the transfers and gratuities are included. And Saga employees are on each shore excursion. The front desk seems very efficient and all employees really look after the elderly ffolks. I like smaller and older ships. The young female singer in the production show was the best I've ever heard on a cruise ship. And the dancers were better than the American cruise lines.

I'm sure you'll love your Royal Caribbean cruise. I've heard their product is at a much higher level than in the Caribbean. Sometime you should try Holland America as their service and food are superb.
