Evening all!
Join me on Sunday afternoon at 4pm UK time on Bay FM http://www.bayfm.co.uk for our regular 3-hour stroll down 'Memory Lane.’ Just go to the page and click ‘Listen Now’ BUT don’t forget that if you’re within reach of the transmitter here in East Devon, you can now tune into 106.4 FM to hear the programme. If the page is down, go to http://www.shoutcast.com/Internet-Radio/bayfm%20exmouth
This week it will be a ‘Pot Pourri’ of music from a spread of over 60 years, with birthday tributes to Connie Boswell, Andy Williams, Deanna Durbin, Ira Gershwin, Edmundo Ros and Rosemary Squires, amongst several others, plus requests and dedications from you, the listeners, including a little “modern nostalgia,” whilst the last part of the programme will be music from film, stage, radio and TV.
Matt will be making an appearance with "Gonna Build A Mountain" and you'll also hear from Billie Anthony and Rose Brennan.
Hopefully I'll be able to bring back some memories for you, and I'll be giving out gold stars if you remember some of these singers before I tell you who they are. In addition I'll also introduce you to some singers whom you've either forgotten or maybe missed altogether first time around.
Three hours of our sort of music, around 50 songs, without too much chat.
The 'Listen Again' facility is working again – go to the website, hover on ‘Shows’ then click ‘Listen Again’ then ‘Memory Lane.’
Please let me have your Christmas songs list and any Christmas dedications that you'd like me to make ASAP if you haven't already done so. There will be the normal programme on the Sunday before Christmas, which will be full of Christmas music as well as a special programme on Christmas Day, so there will be plenty of room for lots of songs!
Take care,
Nick.
