I have just been speaking to Producer Graham Pass about his new radio documentary about Matt that will be broadcast on 17th February at 10.00pm on BBC Radio 2
It's the first in a series of shows about, as the name would suggest, entertainers who have come from the east end of London. As you can imagine the estate has been on board every step on the way starting with a lengthy interview with Michele and many famous names who have been interviewed specially for the program and some from never before heard archive interviews (even I am in there somewhere!)
The show also contains a lot of archive material from the BBC archives and the estate archive including some things not heard in public for nearly 50 years.
Graham who is in the middle of the final edit, has just said that he has Matt Monro coming out of his ears and loving every minute of it!
Graham produced the three part 2001 series about Matt presented by David Jacobs, and Matt is also featured in the revised/updated version of David Jacobs: On The Record which is being broadcast this weekend (again produced by Graham) just before the tribute concert.
Please let us know what you think of the show. (I will post a link here for BBC iPlayer after broadcast).

Just spoken to Graham again, the programme was over long (by almost 1/2 an hour!) so just in case you wonder why i'm suddenly missing from the show I thought i'd let you know i've ended up on the cutting room floor, which is frankly the best place for me! Rather I was cut out than anything good!
Graham is hoping to send me a few clips of material he had to exorcise and hopefully I will be able to put these up on the site at some point.

I agree Sandra, so much would have been denied to us if you hadn't been Michele's right hand man Richard. It's a real shame your contribution to the programme has been cut.

Thank you for your kind words, but i don't think i really add much to Matt's actual story, I've only been involved for a 7 & 1/2 years so it's far more important that others get their say rather than me. - they will all be far more interesting than I was!

Description from the BBC (evidently written before the edit!)
Barbara Windsor celebrates the life & career of the biggest names in popular entertainment from the worlds of music, comedy and movies; Matt Monro, Marty Feldman and Alfred Hitchcock.
These three icons all have one big thing in common, like Barbara they were all born in London's east end. They grew up as east end boys and as east end men they went on to conquer the world! Oh yes, they were true eastenders alright!
This week, Barbara celebrates 'the man with the golden voice', 'the singers singer' and one of the greatest musical exports this country has ever known, Matt Monro.
With new interviews from Michele Monro (Matt's daughter & biographer), Johnny Mathis, Monica Mancini, Don Black, Buddy Greco, Helen Shapiro, Rosemary Squires and Richard Moore. And interviews from the archive of the late Mickie Monro (Matt's widow), the late Billy May, the late Dave Allen and the late David Jacobs.
