Great to hear you are on the mend Michele, I wish you a speedy recovery. The new July news sounds fantastic, seems we could be in for a few years of exciting projects! The '69 find sounds incredible and I sincerely hope it all works out and we can all enjoy it soon.

Re: June News
One of the most interesting pieces of news I've ever read on here.
I understand what Richard means about record companies pulling the wrong tapes from the shelves for a new release
as that has happened regularly with Dusty and the wrong take was used, her current 3 cd release has her hit "Losing You" but it's actually the French version, it's every bit as good but should have been listed as Je Ne Pour Pas T'en Volouir.
I really enjoyed reading about the forthcoming release and look forward to hearing it. I also did a search on Colin Keyes and it seems
he did pass away in New York, I remember him from the Des O'Connor tv shows. Sad to think he won't hear Richard's work on the new release.

Re: June News
I searched for Colin Keyes too and as like you Karl the only information I found was about his passing in 2018 (maybe) …… going to read this months news now

Re: June News
The problem is with that post saying he died in New York in 2018, is that it's totally unverified. Why would a man who lived in Oxfordshire suddenly unsticks and move to New York at the age of 79/80. You would think that he would have a proper obituary somewhere. Anybody can post on Legacy.com, and they could have the wrong Colin Keyes not knowing that this was actually a stage name, so any official listing of his death would be under his real name. Colin would now be 84 so very old, and with his previous health problems, I'm not exactly positive and have somebody checking official records for me.
Re: June News
84 very old Richard …… 80 is the new 60

Re: June News
I've had someone check official records available via ancestry.com. They can find his birth, but no listing for a death, PRS/MCPS have not up to date information, they still have his old address listed, but nobody has notified them of his death either.
It's like he has disappeared without trace!

Re: June News
Do you know if he had any family you can track down. Seems strange that if he has passed away there is no concrete evidence anywhere !

Re: June News
Thanks Richard for all the June news and hope that Michele is now getting better.
Hope you can find some definite news about Colin Keyes who we saw quite a few times with Matt and had a nice chat with him when we got his autograph at the Book launch at Ronnie Scott's.
Also looking forward to the new albums.

Re: June News
Don't know Richard if you have been on "Legacy.com" there are two death notices one from Steve Barclay in March 2023 and one from Denise who saw Colin when he lived in Abingdon dated 31st December 2020.
Did read a long time ago that Colin and his wife were writing a Musical and maybe that took him to New York.
Noticed his CD is still on sale at Amazon "Keyes on Keys" and wonder if any royalties have to be paid to someone.
