No Arguments from me there!
No idea about TV ads. Hopefully, but we have no control over what Capitol will do.

Definitely best in the world.

This release was listed in the US record chain websites as a pre-order. The Matt Monro releases rarely appear like this. So it seems to be a big release here as well. I'm most excited to hear about another version of The Lady Smiles. I love the song and his recording.

It'll be great to hear Matt sing different versions of all the other songs on disc 1 too :) :)

Good to see you back again Paul and to hear that the new CD is getting good publicity and we think it will be well received. ☺

Hi Maureen and Harry - - I always enjoy your reports of shopping at HMV. I know some have closed in the UK, including my favourite at 150 Oxford Street in London. We have very few record stores anymore. Most of them only sell vinyl. There are three large Amoeba stores in California, and some FYE stores, but not many. In the Washington area, Barnes and Noble bookstores are the only stores that sell CDs. Like you, I prefer to buy my music in a store and not online. But I usually have to order online to get my choices. I'm thankful we still have an superb print music store. I prefer sheet music and music books over downloads.

They aren't exactly different versions (apart from the alternate takes) all (with one small exception) are the same vocals you've always heard, but without all the string and brass overdubs, but they do sound fresher and because it's just seven men (Matt, 5 musicians and Dave Cavanaugh who produced from the studio floor rather than than the control room) in one room, it's got a relaxed vibe.

I think you'll all love it.

Yes we will Richard …….I probably didn't mean different versions.....because as I wrote elsewhere, the songs will have an "unplugged" feel to them, a more relaxed style without the added strings and brass overdubs...….so they will seem like new versions in that context :) :)

Very disappointing Richard, can understand why you are both so upset.

So much detail and hard work by Michele and Richard in this October News to mark Matts 90th birthday.

Dashed by the BBC :( Do hope that Universal can come up with some good news.
