I don't remember meeting her at the EMI event. I was shy at meeting celebrities, and Mariana brought Robbie Williams's father over to meet me. She talked to everyone! I remember Buddy Greco was there. John would remember the names of all the celebrities.

We're coming up on the tenth anniversary of that fabulous EMI event. Seems like yesterday. Would love to have another!

I was a bit on the shy side too Paul but I was pleased when Sandra's John took a photo of me with Esther Rantzen and I think he also too the one with Anita Harris who was also lovely, and Kenny Lynch jumped in the photo.

It's already opened on here Sandra ......... I think she looks a lot like the singer in the video so I assume it is June Marlow in the video ........thank's for uploading the photo Sandra :)

Yes, that is the lovely June Marlow as both singer and in the photo. - Also occasional visitor to the surgery of Doc Martin! I've kept in touch a little with June. She is a sweetheart - I've told her I'd like to adopt her as a grandmother!

The Song at No.4 in the Birmingham Chart - Portrait of My Love.

There are lots of bits you won't have heard before Paul, the CIlla duet definitely being one.

Glad you like the edit! As these episodes were originally made for radio (and have now been broadcast many times on hospital and community radio stations) each had the time constraint o 57 minutes maximum, to allow for trails and/or news.

The documentary remains one of the favourite things I've put together. Matt deserved something more comprehensive, and the good thing is that whist the BBC would have played them once and then after 4 weeks it would fall off iPlayer perhaps never to be repeated (like the last 3 Matt Docs). This way they are always available on Matt's official Channel.
