Finally found the time to sit and listen to the latest episode. Thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, its a real shame we're nearing the end of the series as its been a real first class production. Its really great to hear the various interviews with Matt and Mickie listening to their own personal perspective on things is fascinating. The series really does make a great companion piece to the book, I'm thinking of re reading it again after next weeks concluding episode! My thanks once again to Michele and Richard for all their hard work on this its a wonderful celebration of Matt's life and career.

Another great episode from Michele and Richard to finish this tribute which was a very professional production and we will definitely be playing all four episodes again.

Hopefully there will be other projects you will be able to work on in the future and that you will be able to bring to us. Thank you again for leaving us wanting more. 🙂

Just finished the last episode, a real shame its over as its been a terrific series and so well edited. To us fans this has been a real gift, a great blend of narrative, hits, rarities and interviews that paints a picture of a really great career. Matt gave us such much with his music and this celebration is truly deserved. The overview Michele gives towards the end of the episode about the releases her and Richard have worked on was a great moment to reminisce about what a ride its been these past few years with all the various projects released. I often think with each subsequent release that there was no way Michele and Richard could top it, we all know they do everytime and this documentary has been no different.

It's still baffling that the BBC decided to pass on this particularly with all the celebrity tributes at the end, could have been a real coup for them, especially as this year has been such a challenge to produce new content!

Michele and Richard, I think I speak for the forum when I say thank you for your passion, dedication and hard work. These four episodes have been a real joy to listen to and will certainly be enjoyed again! What with this and Stranger in Paradise the anniversary has been marked in a way full of class and style. Thank you both!

Matt was on ITV last night in the tribute to Coronation Street singing " Softly As I Leave You" for their 60 years of being on tv.

I'm late in providing my reaction to the Matt Monro documentary. I enjoyed it very much; so well produced and narrated. It took me a long time to listen as I kept rewinding to hear the comments and songs over and over again. Shame on the BBC for not airing it. Here are my favourites from the documentary.

I Remember It Well duet with June Marlow (I need to listen to this again)

Love Walked In

Heart of the Man

Johnnie Spence -- the best arranger

Portrait of my Love from a TV show

#4 on the Birmingham chart -- can't recall the song, but I love this kind of trivia

Too Close for Comfort

Come Sta

Lulu's Back In Town

Teem

One Morning in May -- letter from Hoary Carmichael. Brilliant edit of song from Richard Moore to just under one minute. Such an incredible recording in full length or new one minute version!

All of You performed in return to Hong Kong

All My Loving -- I love this version equally with the Beatles version

My Love and Devotion -- thanks for including this beauty

Walk Away -- I'm happy this was given a major focus

Meditation / One Note Samba (not sure I've heard this before)

Quincy Jones comments

Anthony Newley impression

We're Gonna Change the World -- background of the song was very interesting

Mitchell singing You've Got a Friend

Songs on The Other Side of the Stars

Thank you for doing the documentary and sharing it with us.
