Many thanks to every one for their kind words, Len's funeralis on the 13th Jan, and naturally I have arranged to have two of Matt's songs played.
I will keep the postings going in Len's memory

We shall be thinking of you that day Freda, what a lovely thought and a wonderful tribute to have Matt's songs played, and no doubt this will be just the way that dear Len would want it to be.

I will also be thinking of you, and hope the day goes well, as a lovely tribute to Len.

It is a great idea to keep the postings going-and hope that those of us that can remember Len can help you through this difficult time.

You have been in my thoughts during the past week, Freda. I feel so honoured to have met you and Len at Fans Reunited. I hope that you can find some comfort in knowing that all of us are thinking of you and also comfort in Matt Monro's singing of the two songs.

thank you all for very kind wishes, everything went very well, but very sad day. The Royal Air force Association and Merchant Navy standard
bearers attended, it was very moving.Matt,s two songs were lovely, but still can't believe Len will not be coming home anymore after nearly sixty years.

We all know it has been a tough day for you Freda--but you and Len were in all our thoughts. It sounded a lovely send off for Len.

Even though a dreadfully sad day Freda we are pleased to know that all went as well as you had hoped for with Matt's songs being played.
Len was obviously well loved and respected by all who attended.
We can understand just how much you will miss Len after all these years.
All of us here on the forum will miss him too Freda.
