VERY BAD DOWNLOADS

I know that Richard has mentioned this in another section but I want to make sure all of you know to avoid a spate of downloads that have pooped up on the internet. One such is called 'The Early Years' and the sound is frankly appalling. The first 6 tracks come from dad's Fontana period and are from a Mock Stereo vinyl transfer - meaning they must have come from the 1969 release "Matt Monro Meets Tony Blackburn" (which isn't strictly public domain) as these tracks have only ever been issued twice - once on the original singles (in Mono) and once on the album. They have been treated with some heavy handed Noise reduction too! The following three tracks have some nasty groove distortion - also from a vinyl transfer and aren't strictly public domain until 2010! The final track, whilst rare, is as dull as ditch water and sounds like it was transferred through a sock!

The Fontana tracks are coming out on the Singles Collection on 18th January and as usual they will have been treated to a superb remaster by our one and only Richard Moore. I would ask you to wait until then, one so not to waste your money on below par music and secondly so as not to encourage these unscrupulous people from issuing music that is not legally theirs to do so.

The Rarer Monro will also be out soon and as the first one proved (Rare Monro) it was worth the wait.

Thanks as always for your support.
