Just to let you all know there is to be an exclusive release for Tescos coming out on 26th September.

Great news Michele
Thanks for explaining why lots of tracks seem to be repeated over and over. 'The Music Played' is a wonderful song - can't wait to hear it in stereo.
As for 'The Rare Monro' - wow, I'm sure this will be treasured by old and new fans alike. Please give us all an idea of some of the songs that will be included as soon as you can!

Yes sorry it will only be exclusive to Tesco but they do have a website which I believe is
www.tesco.com and they do mail order so I think everyone will be able to get hold of one should they want to.

Michele is quite right, you can order via the Tesco Web site. Please be aware, though, that they only deliver within England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, which is not good news for Matt's many fans outside the UK who would like to purchase the CD.

According to Michele in the 'News' section of the Web site, this CD is now to be released on 10 October. The only Matt Monro CD listed for release on this date on Tesco's Web site is one entitled simply, Collection. I thought this must therefore be the CD in question; however, it is also listed for release (and also available for pre-order) on the Web site of Virgin Megastoreâ„¢ (http://www.virginmegastores.co.uk/invt/661856), which would indicate that it is not purely an exclusive release for Tesco. Neither Virgin Megastoreâ„¢ or Tesco's Web site yet give a track listing for it, so I cannot determine whether they refer to the Born Free CD or not. Perhaps Michele can clear this confusion up?

I sure hope I can order the cd online somehow. Then, I don't have to trouble my friends. If indeed it is a Tesco-commissioned compilation, Virgin cannot sell it. Come to think of it, I have a Tesco superstore 2o minutes from my condo but alas, the cd section consists of locally-pressed cds only.
