MATT JNR in HELLO

Post by Marian » Fri Dec 08, 2006 7:14 pm

Finally managed to obtain a copy of this week's Hello Magazine today which contains the interview with Matt Jnr. Enjoyed reading it, but they could have given him a few more pages I thought. Nice photos too.

We should all get a good Christmas, as it comes with a free 84 page Christmas Entertaining booklet!! :? (More work for all the mums!)

Marian

I also meant to mention that it was a surprise to read about the plans for "MATT MONRO -THE MUSICAL" to be staged in the West End next year.
That will certainly be something to look forward to!
Surely Matt Jnr can't possibly do a 60 night tour and then star in a long running musical though - he will be well kn------d!! tired

:?: What is the date of the Hello Magazine with Matt Jnr? Eventually it will make its way to the US and be available at Borders and other news agents. But just in case it's wrapped in plastic (and unable for me to browse through), I want to make sure I get the correct issue.

Matt Monro - The Musical sounds exciting. Where can I sign up for music director or pianist? Will they give me a special visa? Gray - do you plan to audition for a singing role? Lena and Harry - since you're local, do you plan to join the cast? Perhaps Michael can manage the souvenir shop. What roles do the rest of you want? :)

At the very minimum, we all must go to the opening night performance! I'm sure Lena and Harry, Edgar and Margaret, and Marian from Kent will be in the first row ... wearing name tags! I prefer seat K9.

Normally i avoid Hello! like the plague  but may have to make an exception!

Matt- The Musical sounds fantastic! There is so much interest in Matt that I am sure it would be a great success! Try and get Transport for London interested as sponsor - after all Matt is still one of their most famouse ex-employees! Maybe see if one of the old Routemasters are available to promote it. Thanks for making me shop manager Paul lol - would be great fun. Lena & Harry could do tours of Matts London!
Michael

Here I go again, I hear those trumpets blow again.......

Hello Magazine

As you know this interview was done in July and as such certain things are out of date. The musical was brought forward by two promoters for discussion but we turned it down as I don't think this is the way for Matt to progress at the moment.

It will leave him open to even more criticism and comparison, there will be opthers who say we are copying the Sinatra show and I don't think it is the right move at this moment in time.

You know what they say, don't believe all you read in the papers!!!!!

I believe very little I read in the papers!! and I must admit I was very surprised to hear this news, as there was nothing on the website.
I'm very sorry I mentioned it now Michele.
I'd rather see Matt Jnr in concert anyway, and have days like we had on the 20th November.

Matt the Musical

Marian don't be sorry you mentioned it as it was a valid point to bring up, and I am sure other people would have wanted to know the answer. That is the beauty of this forum, we can talk about anything.

Matt Monro - The Musical

I like the idea of a musical. I think that Matt Monros life is so inspirational to many people so it cannot be told often enough.
