It's the BIG one
I know you will all want to join me in wishing Jeff/Paul a very happy birthady on Friday 16 March. He is one of our most loyal of contributors and without him the site would be a poorer place.
Here's to many more happy birthdays and sharing it with us.
Warm wishes
Michele

Paul, Your wide range of musical knowledge is amazing and your continual postings on the forum are invaluable and contribute to all the fun and enjoyment that we have here.
It was such a great pleasure meeting you at the fans re-united last November.
Many Happy Returns of the day. Have a wonderful Birthday.!!

Many congratulations on your birthday, and best wishes for a wonderful day. Heres hoping that the Village People and Scissor Sisters are off the playlist of your local radio station!
I'm not sure what song you will listen to in March, but as its a special day, and a spring one too, how about 'On a wonderful day like today'
Happy Birthday
Michael

Here I go again, I hear those trumpets blow again.......

This is a real surprise! Thank you all for all the very nice birthday greetings and your kind words.
I started listening to Matt Monro's The Late Late Show at around 11:30 last night. I wanted to time things properly so that I would play This Is All I Ask exactly at midnight on my birthday. I do this every year as it's the perfect song about getting older. I even listened to Maria at around 11:45; it's actually lovely once the chorus starts, as I don't like the opening verse. I played The Shadow Of Your Smile several times before midnight as it's just so beautiful. Then I played This Is All I Ask twice in a row at midnight. There are no words to describe how wonderful that song is and Matt's stellar vocals.
The first song I played this morning was Walk Away and then From Russia With Love and For All We Know. I then switched to Feel and Something Beautiful by Robbie Williams, Just An Illusion by Imagination, and finally Wishin' And Hopin' by Dusty Springfield (repeated three times!), as it was my favourite song all all time, until I heard Feel by Robbie Williams a few years ago.
For the drive home, I will be playing mostly Matt Monro: some of The Rare Monro, as well as the famous hits. I will continue to listen to only UK artists and composers for the entire month of March.

Paul JH - Happy B'day!
Hi Paul,
I was interested reading about the Radio Station - what's the name please? I got a mention on a Boston Radio Station a couple of months ago for my impersonation of Dean Martin! Please forward your details.
