Hi all,

Well that's Scotland done and we are back at base at "Monro Towers" the show itself at Glasgow's Pavilion Theatre to an audience of just under 600 was amazing, as I told you all in a previous post the traffic and parking situation in Glasgow is a nightmare, so much so that Zak and myself had to unload my car from the N.C.P. carpark onto railway trolleys and find a taxi to get all of the merchandise, dress suits for the show and other assorted items up to the venue.

People say that the Scottish are the hardest audience to win over, Matt Jr took about 2 songs to have these wonderful people begging for more. The theatre itself is a late Victorian one with the most stunning architecture including such lovely features as cherubs hanging from the balconies and most of the original fittings. I have taken some photos and will try to upload some later on with the help of Michele, it's great to see that different shows recieve different reactions for different songs, the people north of the border seem to go nuts for "How do you do" and "Born Free".

The journey back was trouble free and we arrived back here last night at about 8 pm, anyway must go now as another day means another show and tonight it's the turn of Dartford, all the best Paul

Hi Paul, thank you for keeping us up to date , this time with the Glasgow report.
One thing that we remember was that all the great stars, singers and performers like Frankie Laine, Johnnie Ray, Al Martino, Guy Mitchell, Judy Garland, Bobby Darin to name a few all from that crooning all appeared at the old Glasgow Empire. It was somehow essential for all the big names to appear there, pretty much as essential as topping the London Palladium. Partly because of the marvellous reception and warmth that they received there.
