Well what can I tell you, it was lashing down, freezing, windy and damp. I felt like a limp lettuce by the time I got to the theatre - well let me correct that, not a theatre, more like a bingo hall or a basketball stadium. Instead of rows of seats the room was arranged with six seater tables and the echo was colossal, the room was more suited to a yodeler.

Admitably it wasn't called a theatre, the clue was in the name, Bridlington 3B's Entertainment Centre but Matt and the crew took it all in their stride, they certainly didn't need any reverb on the microphones.

Zak - with a K - he told me off the other night for spelling it with a C - is obviously like an old wine, he's getting better every night, he has obviously found his comfort zone and the crowd really took to him.

Matt is still not better and after four days on antibiotics has realised that it must be a viral infection which of course antibiotocs don't get rid of. Mind you it hasn't affected his sense of humour or his voice thank goodness. There is one thing an artsist hates to do and that is having to cancel a show.

I really enjoyed myself at Bridlington because of the layout of the venue. The merchandise tables were set up within the actual room so I was able to watch the whole show from start to finish instead of catching glimpses. Brilliant. Matt thinks I'm mad as all I ever have on in the car is Matt Monro CD's, in fact I don't think I own any albums by other artists. Mind you I'm not on my own, I met a fellow enthusiast tonight at the merchandise table who bought "The Rare Monro" and his wife told me that her husband drives her mad because he has "Matt" on all the time - I say good choice.

Tomorrow is Leedshw which I think will be a cracker.
Bye for now
Paul
