Worcester

Hi all, Tuesday the 9th of October saw us heading off to Huntingdon Hall in Worcester a venue nobody on the crew knew anything about as they had never done it before, we set off from Ashbourne, where we had spent the night at about 11am for what looked like an easy journey of about and hour and a half, everything was fine until we hit the M6 and that’s when the heavens opened and driving became a nightmare because of the spray, so 3 hours after we left we arrived at the Hotel and checked in, a quick wash and brush up followed and we were of to the venue, what a venue it turned out to be, it was a converted Methodist Church built in 1776 and deconsecrated in 1976, the stage was tiny and made even smaller by a 9 foot piano on it, the seating for the audience were pews and prayer boxes, I have taken some photos of the seating as they are unbelievable, the show itself was interesting to say the least, the only way on to the stage for the Son of the Legend was by traversing along the side of the piano that was hanging over the edge of the stage, the show overall was possibly the best I have ever seen and resulted in sustained applause and a standing ovation, all too soon it was over and time to pack up and head of to the Hotel ready for the long trek to Aberystwyth, until the next time take care all, Paul

Hi Paul and Sue,
Enjoying your experiences on tour as always. Some friends of ours came to see Matt in Worcester and really enjoyed the show. They said it was a fascinating venue, and that Matt did both halves of the show himself. :D :D
Marian

Sounds like an excellent show in Worcester. Are the two background singers still performing with Matt Jnr? Are they still singing No More Tears (Enough Is Enough) as well as their two solo numbers?
