Reading

Morning all, Reading last night and all i can say is thank god that is over with, i thought Leeds and Glasgow were bad for access for the merchandise but this "Theatre" takes the biscuit, Matt, my wonderful wife Sue and moi arrived at the theatre at 4`o clock and spent the next half an hour trying to gain access, the problem is that the Reading concert hall is inside the main town hall and museum complex and on a sunday all is shut, the only way to get the merchandise into the theatre is to walk it in in holdalls a distance of about 200 yards and then up 2 flights of stairs, the show itself, was as you would expect from the son of the legend flawless with the end result being yet another standing ovation, i am beginning to wonder if the sound crew have not run an electrical current through all of the seats and then at the end turn the power up to get them all up on their feets screaming, one of my favourite songs that Matt sings is funnily enough not one of his fathers hits but a rather bouncy little number titled some kind of friend, well the day of the fan club meet is here and i am really nervous but excited, anyway must go now back to Monro Towers and get my sealed orders for this afternoons extravaganza, see you all this afternoon, until then Paul

Hi Paul and Sue,
Please may I apologise on behalf of the people of Reading for the problems you had gaining access into the Town Hall.
That is not our "proper" theatre, but even the Hexagon could have given you problems I suspect.
Hopefully, one day soon we will have a swish new theatre, and Matt's show will have a much happier visit to our town. Pleased to hear the audience loved him anyway - what is there not to love?!!.... :D :D :D
...And it was great to meet you both yesterday at the fan club meet   What a day!! Wonderful, couldn't have been better..

Marian.

Hi Paul--you are doing a great job still!

By the way, "Some kind of friend" was a hit for Barry Manilow!!

Hi Paul , Talking of seats with electric currents running through them and making people jump to their feet to applaud reminds us of Hypnotists from stage acts that we can recall, who would drag people up on the stage to assist them and will invite them to sit down on the chairs and on doing this a shock awaits them, making them bounce up on their feet, even when he'd walked off the stage :? :? :?
Maybe that's the answer. This kind of variety act has disappeared fom our screens, so some bored out of work Hypnotist may be glad of a come back and better still even perform this trick without pay.
