Hayes (Fan club meet)

Post by paul and sue » Tue Nov 21, 2006 1:34 pm

Morning all, well the day we were all waiting for arrived and what a day it turned out to be, it was so nice to finally meet some of the people from the website, Harry and Lena, Edgar and Margaret, Marian, Paul who had flown in from the U.S.A. and so many other wonderful people, the highlight of the day for me was holding the big red book from the This is your life show, the show itself was as usual fantastic and it was so nice to have the sheer pleasure of watching the son of the legend from backstage, every show always holds a special moment somewhere and for me it came at the end when he sang Change the World with his dad, the intro starts and then Matt jr says Matt Monro ladies and gentlemen his dad starts singing and such surge of emotion starts flowing and all the hairs on the back of my neck stand up it is wonderful, a big thank you to Michele for organising such a wonderful day, a big thank you to Max for all of his help on the merchandise stall, a big thanks to Mickie for everything, a big thanks to Matt jr for such a wonderful show and a massive thanks to my wonderful wife for dealing with her emotional wreck of a husband, anyway off to Croydon in a bit just as soon as the massed bands of the Coldstream Guards stop performing in my head, until tomorrow, all the best Paul
