You could not make it up !!!

Post by mariana44 » Fri Dec 08, 2006 12:38 am

As you may have read in a previous posting, I was lucky enough to win a raffle prize at the Fan-Club Meeting----Even more lucky as my prize was a Bumper Bundle of 10 of Matt's cd's--a couple of them were doubles !!

Tonight, I went to my WI Christmas dinner, and again was lucky [!!], enough to win a prize.

My prize was a tin of Macaroni Cheese.

This is absolutely true.

I tried to hide my ticket, because I did not want it, but someone spotted it, and they made me take it.

I HATE Macaroni cheese!!

Hi Marian

I love your humorous stories as you know! We still laugh at the thought of the dogs dragging their bed out into the garden! Why not open the tin of Macaroni cheese as if you mean to eat it and leave it on the side in the kitchen - I'm sure your dogs will eat it when you're not looking!

Hi Mike--funnily enough, that is what my friends said--I know Harry would eat it in a flash. But I am not sure it would do him any good !!

The last thing I want after a tin of Macaroni Cheese is a sick dog

Indeed - you don't want a repeat of the 'butter' episode!

Hi Mike and Marian,
I think I missed the butter episode!!
The mention of it reminded me of an amusing incident when my in-laws were getting a little confused in their old age and used to sometimes argue over little things (as we all do!)
Anyway, Peter and I went over to see them one day to find mum-in-law with yellow splodges all over, sitting in her chair. When we asked what had happened she said "He's thrown the butter at me"   - At least it was soft!!!

Marian.

Hi Marian--re "the butter episode"---Harry ate a half pound packet of butter in one day!!

24 hours later, I was in the kitchen--heard a strange noise in the living room, went to investigate---found poor Harry standing with a completely bewildered look on his face, as if to say "What happened??"--and a BIG mess on the carpet!! Luckily I have about 6 different carpet cleaners--as you never know !!!!

Marian - kind of chuckling at the thought of something with buttery splodges on them and saying 'he thre butter at me'! Is that wrong?!
