Yesterday was my great nephew's birthday, he was 9.

Monday will be my dad's birthday and next month will be 25 years since he passed away.

Thanks for the birthday greetings. I did take off work. In the afternoon I went to the National Symphony Orchestra's concert of Strauss music and then in the evening a local county's annual spelling bee. The losing word was trattoria, and the winner had to spell two additional words correctly: asthmogenic and madeleine.

Today would have been my Mum and Dad's 52nd Wedding Anniversary, and tomorrow would have been by Mum's 79th birthday.
