Special Days in April
Re: Special Days in April
Today is 6 years since George died--also on a Sunday---which makes it all a bit surreal today. I cannot tell you how quickly the last 6 years have gone , it seems like just a very short while ago. My sister reminded me that she and her husband had come over that day to see George--but I had no recollection of that.
Luckily I had a friend take me out for lunch at our Local Organic Garden Centre in Yalding--[about 5 miles away], and we had a nice lunch, and a sit out in the garden--it was beautuful ----so hot--I am sure that I caught a bit of sun !! A perfect day for George, because he LOVED the sun !!!

Re: Special Days in April
Thanks John--i'm always glad when this day is over--which it nearly is--just going to settle down to listen to David Jacobs--I could be fast asleep in 10 minutes or so.

Mariana, although I am new to the board and don't really know everyone quite yet, reading the posts, I do hope today wasn't as sad as it was then. Just think that George is and always is watching down upon you and you're never alone. I know that's easy to say, but I'm a strong believer in it. Please always keep a smile on your face and a song in your heart.
Re: Special Days in April
Eman-thank you so much for your words of comfort--I joined this Forum just a few months after I lost George, and my friends on here have helped me though some difficult times--although they did not always realise.
I try to keep cheerful, and it does become easier over time--just certain days are harder. I bought 2 little dogs who are now nearly 6 years old, and they are a lifeline for me--such good company and so funny at times.

Re: Special Days in April
It would have been my lovely Mum's birthday today. Had she lived, she would have been 102. I'll always miss her.
Re: Special Days in April
I know how you feel, Marian--my mum's birthday was yesterday-she would have been 97.
