Special days in July.

Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

I know how quickly the time goes--I also know that we never forget our loved ones, no matter how many years pass. Thinking of you, John.

Thinking of you John and all the great times I'm sure you had with your mum.

I had many a laugh with mine. :)

Sandra I don't know if John would feel sad or not, or if he has got over that. I find personally I don't need an anniversary to think of loved one's who have gone.

I often think the worst part is over and that I am fine and then a song comes on the radio or I find a birthday or postcard or dad sent to me from their trips etc. I still even have a birthday card from my granny and she passed away in 1966 and I won't part with it.

I came across a picture in an album a few days ago of my mum holding my oldest nephew when he was a baby (he was 48 last week), my granny was sitting opposite and she looked so thrilled.

I don't think we ever really get over losing a loved one but the pain of the loss does go.

Does anyone else feel the same?

I think the worst thing about these "Anniversaries" is that they are a reminder that another year has gone.

You never know when you will get an unexpected reminder of someone that you have lost, and often it can be painful--but I would rather have that , than to forget about them.

Although belated, special thoughts of your mum John, who we know you thought the world of.
