special days in October

Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

My wonderful mother passed away nearly Ten years ago. Today would have been my her 106th Birthday. Not a day goes by when I don't think about her. :(

I have two anniversaries coming up this month too.

It doesn't matter if it's two years or twenty we never stop missing them, do we?

Thanks John, yes although I suppose there were many others left in the same boat as my mum, but being deserted and left to bring up Four kids alone in the late Twenties and Thirties could never have been easy. Like millions in those days wealth was a dream away. The struggle was to keep a roof over our heads.

Thanks Karl. You are right, time in days or years make no difference. What Anniversaries have you got coming up. :?:

Incidently Al Martino died on the 13th, my late mothers birthday.

Robert, we were out yesterday, unable to hear Nick's programme, so will be making use of the Listen Again service later. :)

It is 5 years today since my Auntie Edith passed away. Still miss her very much. We went to see Uncle Wright on Sunday, he will be 91 in a few weeks, he has done so well coping on his own since.
