special days in October

Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

It will be nice for you to meet up with Henry, Karl.

It is 6 years tomorrow since my Aunt Edith died. also hard to believe. Uncle Wright seems to be doing ok, we visited him again a couple of weeks ago.

Today is a nice day so I got to the cemetery before I leave, I was glad about that.

The excitement has just kicked in, can't wait for Friday!

John , I can remember when your aunt Edith died, cannot believe it is 6 years ago.Glad to hear Uncle Wright is doing well, he is just amazing !!

Yes Marian, he seems to be reasonably well, still in Bakewell, and I still phone him every week. The staff there think the world of him as he is so easy to please and get on with. I am still hoping that one day he will be moved nearer to home, as it is so difficult and far for people to get to, but I don't think it is going to happen. I suppose the main thing is that he is being looked after and has plenty of company.

Just to say a very big thank you Sandra, John, Marian, Karl, Maxine and Marian for all your kind thoughts and wishes for my Birthday yesterday, and for cards and gifts received :)
The first celebration was last Saturday at the Brass Band championships at the Royal Albert Hall and a meal afterwards at the Palm Court Brasserie near Covent Garden with my niece and her husband, a meal out yesterday just we three, Harry, son Alan and myself, and a family meal this Sunday for Eighteen at a pub restaurant.
Well it's not every day you're 18, :wink: :wink: or even 80.
