October birthdays and anniversaries.

Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

George's mother was just the same -she lived till she was 98, and even when George was well into his 70's--he was always her little boy----and would say to everyone-"Do you think he looks like me"--much to George's embarressment !!

I bet George was embarrased Marian. Mums are generally like that with their sons.
When my eldest brother came to see my mum, she would always say, Fred likes his tea strong. I would empty the tea-pot to find she'd put 14 tea bags in the pot.

To the other extreme, when we visit Peter's very elderly aunt and uncle now, we get one teabag between four people!

A very dear friend who used to be a neighbour, but she moved to live with her daughter in Wales, will be 98 tomorrow.
A wonderful lady, who was married to a vicar for many years, she did many good deeds for the poor and homeless in London both during and after the war, taking many into her own home.
She still writes in the parish magazine, and does the Times crossword every day.
A friend to everyone. A very happy birthday Kathleen. :D
