October birthdays and anniversaries.

Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

My Mother who passed away nearly Four years ago would have been celebrating her 100th Birthday on the 13th, and mine a few days later.

Your Mum lived to a really good age Lena. It was a shame she didn't live to 100 though.
Peter's Mum and Dad also lived well into their nineties, we only lost them a few years back. Now we're at the top of the tree..

Today would be the birthday of my much-missed husband George.

I think about, and remember him every day.

George was a lucky man to have such a loving wife as Mariana. Remember him with joy and celebrate his life.

I would like to wish Lena and Marian, a very happy birthday--I believe you both have birthdays this month--may both your days be as special as you both are.

Also wishing Freda a very special day too.

No, it's not today, it's on Tuesday, the 16th which also happens to be the 20th Anniversary of the Hurricane that occured in 1987  ( the one that wasn't going to happen)
The funniest thing is, this blunder has always been associated with Michael Fish but Bill Giles has confessed after all these years that he read out the last weather forecast that night and with a smile on his face admitted that he let Michael take the blame.
I have to say that I didn't hear a thing and slept through it all. and remember feeling disgruntled when i awoke and there was no electric power to make a a cup of tea,..... on my Birthday as well  until Harry said why. He had been awake for hours.
Anyway Freda, thank you for the Birthday wishes ...i'm not going to mention my age either,   but have a very Happy Birthday on the 19th and the same good wishes to all those with October Birthdays.
Thank you to all for your good wishes I've just edited this posting after seeing your greetings.
We still don't know Marians yet. I'm going to have a guess for the 25th.
It's my Great nephews that day
