Not really Sandra, the saddest day was the day he died back in 1987 as it was so sudden - especially when we spoke on the phone two hours before he passed - it was such a shock. I remember my mum and sister could not stop shaking but I just went totally numb like a steel

Yes, Happy 102nd Birthday to our own Dame Vera Lynn. A National treasure, and famous for those songs that brought so much hope and comfort to servicemen and women and civilians during Six years of war. :)

Today is my Mum and Dad's Wedding Anniversary, they would have been married 59 years, plus tomorrow my Mum would have been 86.
