Special days in June

Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

Special days in June

Post by maxine » Mon Sep 01, 2014 2:47 pm

My dear sisters birthday today ..she died 18 months before mum and dad ....we didn't know she was ill and buried her 4 days after being told ....long story but it was heartbreaking ...especially with the circumstances ...she would have been 68 ...and passed only 3 years older than me now .....God. Bless Sue ...X
Softly, I will leave you softly
For my heart would break if you should wake and see me go.....

Thank you Marian ...it was horrendous ...I found out from a fone call from my aunty ( uncle Lees wife aunty Kath ) ....I thought she was going to say that she had married again or emigrated ....but no ...and I was so in denial I said " are you sure her husbands not saying that to be horrible" ....I mean why or how could they ....my brain could not process it .... Mum and Dad were in Scarborough...Peter tried to get to talk to dad without Mum knowing so that he could break the news ....but a big mix up and mum found out clumsily and was dumbstruck for an hour...we traveled that day to get them home ....my sis didn't want anybody to know and her husband carried out her wishes ...she actually died 14th of this month ...Mum was in a terrible state ..clutching photos of Sue as a baby ....it was all too much ...it kicked off a spiral of ill health for them ....Dad was her step dad from age of 4 ....I'd never heard my dad cry before bless him ....that night on the phone I did ....we lost them both 18 months later ......

....then my son Adams friend died in the fire age 11 .......following Jan and aunty Kath who broke the news the following christmas ...and then Mum and Dad ......they had been devastated by Sue then Little Chris ...then Aunty Kath ....

Thank you for reading this ....Sue was a comedian for sure ...lol ...17!years older than me ...and used to be a great older sister....things went awry as they do sometimes in families unfortunately.....loved life to the full as Mum said lol......if we had known she was ill we were have gone to her ....Long story but ...a hard lesson in life ........holding on to all the happy memories and laughs we had ...(
in between the tears ... )

Today is our Grandaughter Isabella Deborah's 1st birthday had a gathering of just family for the first year.
It's been a lovely day and to see her playing with her presents, and blowing her one candle out with a little help.
