My great niece graduates next week from teacher training and I heard today she got the highest award, the family are having a get together for her next week and I'm invited. I am happy for her as she's put so much work into her studies.

I've been watching many of the DVDs Mariana sent me: BBC documentaries, Gabrielle on various TV programmes, Joyce Grenfell, Norman Wisdom. I really loved Matt Monro appearing on Shindig!
I need to play again the CD she made for me of songs recorded by Matt and Johnny back to back. It was neat to hear the differences in the arrangements and vocal presentation.
Marian was so kind and thoughtful.
