special days in August

Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

Thank You Karl and Sandra.
Yes, it is hard to believe that it is 20 years since Princess Diana died, I didn't realise it was the same date as my Dad's.

Tweny Years since Diana died, and so many people remembering her and still saddened by her death.
Really tragic what happened to her. For what she had been through for someone so young, becoming a wife to the heir of the throne, who didn't know what love meant, to a princess and a mother in so short a time, no one special to turn to, no wonder she had complex and mental health issues.
Some wounds that hopefully had been healed have now been opened up again and William and Harry have learned more now than they ever knew due to so much being hidden from them during and before Dianas death, but they are protecting and appearing to be loyal to their Father and the Royal family.
I've always had my favourites of the royals, but William and Harry tower above them all.

Absolutely Karl. The news that Sunday morning was shock in itself, but the worst moment for me that I cannot forget was to see the news on TV about Two hours later with the Queen and Prince Philip accompanied by the Two young boys William and Harry being driven to Sunday morning Church, :x typical of royal protocol. How bloody cold and unfeeling can anyone get. :x
Those boys should have been allowed to just sit around and to absorb what they had just heard and be comforted in every way possible instead having to shower dress up etc etc UGGH !!

Yes L&H so typical of Royal Protocol, and the Queen Mother got her butlers to back out the door instead of turning their backs on her. What a load of tosh! And don't get me started on Princess Margaret !

I think the Royal Household staff are trained and expected to carry out these duties like bowing and curtseying when entering or leaving a room Karl, and of Princess Margaret at least she had some of the commont touch like enjoying a drink or two and a fag. She just did it in a different way to the average cockney Brit or Eastender. :D :D
