9/11

Post by karl » Wed Sep 11, 2013 3:32 pm

Remembering this terrible day.

I had been in the States weeks before it happened and can remember hearing the news in the office, came home and tried a few times to get through to Boston and I finally did - just wanted to make sure everyone was alright.

The following year I was back for the first anniversary and attended a memorial service with my Ohio cousin.

In my lifetime I NEVER want to hear anything like this again!

Thinking of all those who lost their lives, and all their families and friends on the anniversary of this awful day.

We had a moments silence today and Taps was played in honour of the fallen victims. What really irked me was someone in the office said why was Taps being played and was it for the "dead people". This person acted like the didn't know what happened 12 years ago. Very insensitive and ignorant. Worst of all that person stated why should she stop working as no one would do it for her if she passed. I wanted to turn around and say you're damn right no one would you "t**t". UGH....

How can so people be so callous, take her round the back and talk some sense into her!!!!

I am not American but I have friends and family in different States and it affected me greatly, the whole world was in shock. Some people don't give a damn about anyone but themself.

Karl, you are right, I so wanted to rip her lips off..(sorry all but that's how strongly I feel)..when I think about all those innocent lives and especially about the little kids and babies..oh man my heart cries out and my tears fall. I just don't get how some folks could be like that. Just rude. Sorry all for my little rampage!!
