Washington DC train crash

Post by jon » Wed Jun 24, 2009 3:51 pm

Several people were killed/many injured in Washington DC yesterday when two rush-hour trains collided. I'm sure we all hope Jeff/Paul was not among them and is alive and well. Naturally one's thoughts go out to all those who were affected by this terrible crash.

Yes, we saw that on the news Jon, and our thoughts go out to those who lost their lives and to those who were injured.
We certainly hope that Paul is safe and well too.

Yes it was a particularly tragic accident. We too have those who were killed and injured, and their families, in our thoughts.

Thanks for your concern everyone. I seldom take the Metrorail, but a friend/co-worker was on the Red Line with her tiny baby at the same time of the accident. Fortunately she was going in the opposite direction. But her train was stopped and her husband had to drive to the area to take her and their son home. It was a very sad day.
