Other famous artists who may have worked with Matt?

Did any famous...or soon-to-be-famous....musicians ever work with Matt when he was on stage? I've heard a rumor that Dudley Moore may have the played piano during one of Matt's live performances. Though I can't substantiate this, it's fun to think about.

No Dudley never played at any of Matt's concerts although Matt did occasionally eat at one of Dudley's resturants so they may have met.
In general Matt used a touring band and no body ever sat in - His MD would play piano.
The only 'famous' people ever know to accompany Matt are The Woody Herman band and The Syd Lawrence orchestra.

Yes true, but we're talking live performances here and Nelson only accompanied Matt on a TV show.

Thanks Richard. Sounded like a pretty LARGE audience. Either that or it was several people who LOVE MATT A LOT like you and me, and they made voluminous, vociferous cheering/clapping.

A typical TV studio audience would have been around 2-300 people, so not massive.

Did Dusty Springfield ever sing with Matt on a recording or on Radio/TV?
I notice there are photos of Matt with Dusty, but no mention of Matt singing a duet with Dusty...
Maybe our Dusty expert, Karl, can assist us on this question...

Hi Henry,
Our records show that Matt & Dusty appeared TV shows in which both were guests. Top Of The Pops in 1965 and the Ivor Novello awards in 1970. They didn't sing together. They also appeared on the same editions of Saturday Club, but as far as I am aware never sang together.
