Did It Happen

Post by Paul » Mon Aug 20, 2007 1:25 am

Can someone tell me where this song is from? I first heard it on the Matt Monro Jr Duets With Matt Monro CD when it first came out and it instantly became one of my all-time favourite songs. I absolutely love the music, especially in the (sort of) choruses.

It was originally released on the 1975 album "The Long and Winding Road" Paul, it was re issued on the Through The Years cd.

Eh John, thanks very much for the info. I've been looking all over the show for this tune and have especially checked out the various compilation CDs. At least I now know what I'm looking for! Thanks again.

I think we should talk with the EMI representative at Fans Reunited (if he's there this year) and tell him EMI had better reissue Through The Years, that most special collection of songs chosen by Mickie Monro. It's in demand and contains several songs unavailable on any other CD. I think we all agree it's one of the best Matt Monro collections ever released. Perhaps they can add a few more of the rich ballads that we all love.
