MATT IS BACK IN THE CHARTS!

Post by karl » Tue Jul 26, 2022 8:13 am

I just noticed Matt's Very Best Of is in the Amazon chart at 89, I wonder if that is because of the tv show last night?

Good news as any publicity like Go With Matt Monro even though it was hidden away must help record/download sales 👍

I believe so Robert as they last time they showed Dusty on tv three of her cd's ended up in Amazon's chart, the power of
tv, eh?
P.S. Matt is now up to 80 on the Amazon chart and our new HMV on Princes Street has six Matt cd's in stock.

I can't believe that compilation is still selling. It was my first Matt Monro CD. I bought it on my second trip to London in 1993 and still play it even though I have dozens of MM compilations. I like the song selections and that it includes This Time.

But it doesn't have Richard Moore's magic touch or Michele's liner notes.

Paul that compilation was actually re-pressed and the sleeve now has the Warner logo.

But has Mono where it shouldn't and badly mastered tracks. We asked for it to be replaced or be remastered years ago - but our complaints fell on dead ears
