I was disappointed to see that no Matt Monro CD were included in the 2 CD for 10 pounds offer that HMV always runs. Last year The Very Best of Matt Monro and The Ultimate were included at the Oxford Street and Selfridges HMV. Have those titles been deleted? I don't think I saw them in the racks either. It was great to see that they had The Complete Singles Collection in stock at 150 Oxford Street. The selection at Selfridge's wasn't it as good, but I think they had a few compilations.

Paul HMV often update the choices they have on offers, they don't always feature a specific artist.

The HMV Store in Hull still has an Easy Listening Section. You probably have done the same but I always bring Matt and Billy Fury CD's to the front, so that they are on show.

So does Matt's grandson, I remember him saying that on a documentary some years ago.

On our visit to Manchester last week, we called into the HMV store to do our usual check on the Matt CDs available. We are pleased to say that they had 12 different titles in plus the DVD Matt at the BBC.

However the Singer's Singer was not amongst them but perhaps it may have been sold and they hadn't replaced the stock.

WOW at least you still have HMV. Here in San Diego, we don't have any more big record/music stores since Tower Records closed back in 2007. All we have now is Best Buy and they don't carry anything except what seems to be popular. Not a good selection. I usually go to independent shops and they can order Matt cd's or anything I want for me, so I'm a big supporter of my local record store called "Record City". The owner is a major Matt fan and he's about my age and we're always talking about Matt, Billy Fury, Marty Wilde, and all these English bands we grew up listening to.

I will check out Tunbridge Wells tomorrow. When I last looked a few weeks ago, they had lots of different Matt cds-about a dozen, plus 3 double cds.So I was really pl;eased to see that.

Hey Robert, Graham the owner is my age 47 and his Mum is English. He grew up in England in the mid 70's. I don't know from what part though. I think we are the minority who knows all those great English bands and artists.
